Tense Blender Standoff Ends In Hilarity For Canadian Couple And Their Cats

We came across the most incredible news story this week, and while it wasn't breaking news, we just knew you all would love it. As we said, this news story is a few months old, but it took us a while to hear about it since it happened in the deep recesses of B.C. Canada. Apparently, wives Jessica and Nikii Gerson-Neeves were all excited to bring home a new Vitamix blender, and had already decided on a bunch of new recipes they'd try to make. Blenders are great for smoothies, for salsas, for sauces like pesto, the possibilities are really endless, so these two life partners were naturally incredibly excited. But, who doesn't get excited about new kitchen appliances, right?

Anyway, before they even got a chance to try the new blender out, one of their three cats claimed the blender box as his own. Soon enough, the other two cats realized their brother was having so much fun up there, that they decided they just had to join in. The couple wound up in a tense, days-long standoff between their three cats, and their desire to use the blender. Still, what happened next is a comedy for the ages… Jessica, who has some practice as a writer, decided to pen a letter to Vitamin and beg them for help. If there was any way the company could just send them a new blender box, not even a new blender, maybe they could live in peace. Vitamix did them one better. Actually, we should say two better. They sent along a new blender, and then they included an extra box to boot, just so all three cats could enjoy themselves at once! You have got to take a peek at these little troublemakers though.

The Blender Has Been Claimed

When the owners originally brought the blender home and their cat climbed on top, they thought little of it. Animals are always finding new things to play with that they then quickly tire of, and that box shouldn't have been an exception. Regardless, as soon as this cat realized how excited its owners were, it matched their energy and latched right on.

The Standoff Continues

Soon enough, the cat siblings descended and the blender box battle was lost. The owners pointed out after this whole debacle was over that they easily could've lifted their cats off the box and taken out the blender, but why ruin the fun? Plus, they wound up getting a few free boxes out of it for the other cats, as you'll see in a minute, so all in all we'd call this situation a win, win win.
